The Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Service (CSAS) emphasises that Safeguarding goes to the very heart of the ministry and mission of our Catholic Church. Safeguarding is about nurturing wellbeing, helping individuals realise their potential and of course it is about ensuring everyone is safe and protected from harm and abuse.
The Catholic Church through the NCSC conducts an annual National survey centred around the subject of best practice with regards to Safeguarding. The Sacred Heart Parish has access to the Catholic EduCare programme. This brings to our Community and the wider church an e-learning package which raises awareness throughout the Catholic Community in England and Wales. The e-learning package is part of the Church’s commitment to safeguarding, and is available to all members of the Catholic community.
